Going to Waterworld

Splash went the slippery swimming pools when I went in for lessons at Water world.

On May the 1st rm 20 went to Water world. We went  to Water world to do swimming lessons what we had to do is get put into groups there was group 1 group 2 and also group 3. Those were the groups for the big pool. I was put in the little pool because I wanted too. Why we went there is because we had to do lessons. We left school at 9:10 and started swimming at 9:30 and we also had 30 minutes that`s a half an hour swimming.

At Water world I smelt water I touched water and it felt warm. I felt excited because we got to swim. I also heard splashing and  kicking in the water. I saw a blue wavy pool at Water world.

‘do backstroke on the flutter board’ explained Natalie. ‘We're going to the light bit of the pool’ yelled Natalie

My favourite was the end when we did the hoops and toys because it was the best thing to do at Water world.

Retelling story

Maui and the sun   
It was a dark night.

When Maui was about to eat.

The sun went down he couldn't  see a thing.

They said he's  just too fast and if he's so fast we will never get to hunt or eat he said to his 5 brothers.

We must catch the sun said Maui.

  The 5 brothers  laughed how are we going to do that they said to Maui.

We are going to use the flax ropes lasso the sun and pull him until we get him.

They were hiding behind some tall rocks in the shade so the sun couldn't see the 5 brothers and Maui.

When I say now! you lasso said Maui.

Ready set Now! He shouted then his 5 brothers lassoed the sun and the sun said hey let go I'm dying then Maui said let go of the flax ropes he won't be able to attack his 5 brothers let go then he was slow now.  We can eat and hunt much more since the sun is gone slower it still groaned while he floated slowly in the sky and from now all of Maui's people had plenty of time to fish,  hunt, and also to eat their food in the daylight. Then they were as happy as the Maori gods.All of them all together.

Choice Writing

  Once upon a time there lived a baby who was asleep and then a little while later….guests started coming to the carnival and woke the baby up and the baby started crying and crying and crying and it made the baby upset.”Waaaaaaaaaaaaaa” said the baby stomping on the

ground.  Then there came a person who had made a cookie and a chocolate milkshake for the baby.

  Then when she saw the milkshake and the cookie she stopped stomping and she stopped crying and she begged for the cookie and the milkshake and then she got the treat she wanted. And she had her snack then she gently fell right to her bed and fell asleep again.And she was as tired as a panda.

   Once upon a time there lived a little boy and his dad they loved to travel and climb big mountains. One time they went to this strange place. They saw a sign and by accident when  dad turned around for a second dad's bag hit the sign and the sign turned around and  they took the wrong path.    

  Then they saw a whole lot of mountains that were made out of watermelons!   They were shocked and really excited at the same time because they love climbing mountains and they felt shocked because nobody has ever seen a mountain made out of watermelons or has never climbed a watermelon mountain. It was one crazy thing.                           

   Then they had both thought that if they climbed the mountain. They will be the first ones to climb it but they hadn't notice  that since they would want to climb it they would need safety gear  because it would be really slippery.

  Then they tried climbing it then when the dad and the little boy stepped up a little they both fell off! but luckily someone with a huge trailer and a big lot of blankets quickly ran and caught them. Then they found out that they were not the first to      climb the watermelon mountain. The man who saved them was the real first ones to climb the mountain. And the man who saved us well his name was Jackson and the little boy and the dad asked if they could stay with Jackson for the week. Jackson said “ of course you can!

     Then after that they had the best time and they learned to climb the watermelon  mountain and they loved to wake up early and climb the mountain and they loved staying at Jacksons . They had the best time.

  Then they had the best surprise ever and that was that Jackson let the dad and the little boy loved staying there they got to live there then after that they were as happy as a baby elephant.

Huge fire sparks state of emergency

Flames horrify residents

As I stood at the end of my driveway I could see the brutal violent flames of the savage fire destroys my precious home.  

The fire is flaming, bursting and smoking.

The fire was burnt down because someone was playing with fire.    

The flames rise up to the smoke,like a helicopter is flying in the air.

‘Oh no!’ said a woman ‘there`s a fire!’

‘Oh thank you’ ‘I said’.

Flaming like fiery flames bursting like fire in your mouth.

“Oh no! Where are we going to stay now?’

Oh no bang went the fire bursting through the house.’ kids come let's get out of here’ said Mum!
